Shofur Podcast Discussion with Bryce Roberts and Nima Elyassi-Rad of O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures

In the startup world we hear it every day: A new fast-growing company received a couple million in Series A funding. This headline plays out everyday across the internet.

This intense focus on funding creates a perception that to be successful, a startup must get to the point where it does get a massive influx of cash. However, in our May podcast, we take on that exact hypothesis and prove it wrong.

In the May edition of our podcast, we were joined by Bryce Roberts and Nima Elyassi-Rad of O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures’ (OATV) Indie.VC fund along with Shofur’s CEO, Armir Harris, to talk about the early stage investing, venture funding in technology sectors and how it impacts business currently.

During the podcast, Roberts, Harris and Elyassi-Rad also discuss why companies would take VC, why Shofur didn’t and why one company took funding in their ninth year. Listen to the full recording here and let us know what other tips you have for startups considering a round of funding?
