Atlantic City’s famous wooden boardwalk was first built in 1870, but the version you can visit today was built in 1916. Packed with stores and restaurants, the boardwalk draws tour groups who just want to explore as well as athletes participating in marathons and half-marathons.
Just off the boardwalk, you’ll find Atlantic City’s public beach. Admission is free and the beach is surprisingly uncrowded, since many visitors opt to visit the casinos instead. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 6pm during the summer so you can sunbathe or swim, and you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas from shops along the boardwalk.
Address: 3109 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Charter bus parking: Your charter bus can take advantage of multiple paid parking lots near the Boardwalk.
Address: New Hampshire Ave at Parkside Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Charter bus parking: The beach has a free parking lot near one of its entrances that your bus can use.
Many couples get married in Atlantic City so they can have a beach wedding or an indoor wedding that overlooks the water. For example, One Atlantic Events offers a ballroom that extends over the ocean, with the water visible through expansive windows. The Claridge hotel, which was built in 1929, also has a ballroom with views of the sea.
If your group needs a way to get from your hotel to the beach, your reception venue, or a bachelor/ette party at a casino, you can rely on Shofur. We’ll provide a charter bus or minibus with reclining seats and climate control, and your professional driver will be happy to serve as DD.
Address: 1 Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Charter bus parking: Because One Atlantic doesn’t have its own parking lot, your bus driver will need to drop you off and then park at a paid lot nearby.
Address: 123 S Indiana Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Charter bus parking: The Claridge relies on a parking garage, so you’ll probably need to get dropped off and then pay for your bus to park in a nearby surface lot.
Companies love to host conferences and trade shows at the Atlantic City Convention Center so they can take advantage of the area’s beaches and casinos. The AC Convention Center has 500,000 square feet of showroom space, 5 exhibit halls, and 45 meeting rooms that span 109,000 square feet.
Need a way to get to the Atlantic City Convention Center or a long-term employee shuttle around Atlantic City? Shofur would love to help. We offer minibuses and full-size charter buses with optional amenities like WiFi and power outlets so you can work or check email on the road.
Address: 1 Convention Boulevard, Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Charter bus parking: The convention center has both a parking garage and an exterior lot. The exterior lot costs $15 per day, per space.
You may associate Atlantic City with adult fun, but you’ll find plenty of educational activities for kids here. If you teach science, you can escort your kids to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, where they can see the equipment the Center uses to save stranded dolphins, sea turtles, seals, and whales. Your students can also view rescued animals on a large-screen TV and check out life-size replicas of ocean animals, whale bones, and displays about ocean pollution.
If you’re more interested in history, Atlantic City is home to the Abescon Lighthouse, New Jersey’s tallest lighthouse and the third-tallest lighthouse in the U.S. Built in 1857, the lighthouse still contains its original Fresnel Lens. If your students are able to, you can climb the 228 steps to the top of the lighthouse to see the lens and breathtaking views of the ocean. The Lighthouse also has a historical Lightkeeper’s Dwelling and an educational museum that are more accessible.
Address: 3625 Atlantic Brigantine Blvd, Brigantine, NJ 08203
Charter bus parking: To make a reservation, you’ll need to email education@mmsc.org with the name of your school/organization, the age of your students, the number of kids and adults attending, and your preferred dates/times. You’ll then receive information about parking your bus.
Address: 31 S Rhode Island Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Charter bus parking: The Lighthouse provides free parking for visitors.
Casinos definitely aren’t the only reason to go to Atlantic City, but they’re one of the big ones. Atlantic City has a total of 9 casinos, all equipped with dining venues, comfy rooms, live entertainment, and exciting games.
If your group craves elegance, you can’t go wrong with the Borgata, which features a marble lobby with Chihuly glass sculptures. The Borgata is also known for its spacious rooms, fine dining options like Wolfgang Puck American Grille, and nightclubs with DJs like RL Grime and Tiesto. Not into the gambling scene? You can also see performances by singers like Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder at the Event Center.
For all-in-one fun, try the Tropicana, which has a shopping mall and an IMAX movie theater on property. The Tropicana also boasts a large dining plaza, with options like Cuban specialties at Cuba Libre, Southern Italian dishes at Carmine’s, and Irish classics at Ri Ra. No matter which casino you choose, your charter bus driver can drop you off your dinner or show and then pick you up and take you safely back to your hotel.
Address: 1 Borgata Way, Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Charter bus parking: Your charter bus can park at the North Entrance Surface Parking Lot for $5 per visit.
Address: 2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Charter bus parking: The Tropicana has two parking garages, but since charter buses typically can’t fit in garages, you can get dropped off in the valet area and then ask your driver to park in a paid public lot.

The answer is: it depends. When you call one of our 24/7 reservation specialists with your trip details, they will build a quote for you based on a few factors, including how far you'll be traveling, which bus you rent, how many hours or days you will need the rental, and where and when you will be picked up. Depending on your trip itinerary, your rental cost will be broken down by hour, day, or mile.
You can learn more on our charter bus pricing page, and your reservation specialist will be happy to break down pricing further when you call.
Our network offers full-size charter buses, minibus rentals, and sprinter vans. Full-size charter bus rentals are great for larger groups or longer distance trips and can accommodate up to 56 passengers, while minibus rentals work well for medium-sized groups of 12 to 25 passengers. Groups even smaller than that can rent a sprinter van, which comfortably accommodates up to 12 people.
