Kentucky Charter Bus Rentals: Experience the Bluegrass State in Style

Would you like to explore the Bluegrass State in comfort and style? Look no further than Shofur: we can offer you and your traveling companions the most reliable transportation to get where you're going quickly, safely, and comfortably. Kentucky has a lot of unique places to go and memorable sights to see, and we think a charter bus is the best way to see this historic state.

Louisville

Louisville is one of the best American cities to travel and explore by bus. There's so much to do and see here, you won't know where to start - so maybe we can help you narrow things down a bit.

Any baseball fan has, of course, heard of Louisville slugger bats. Yes, it's this Louisville that they're from. The Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory offers regular tours for fans of the game to enjoy. Have a stroll through the sizable museum to see what some of Slugger's earliest bats looked like, or take a tour through the factory to see how they're made today.

Other notable attractions include the Kentucky Derby Museum, a must for any fan of horse racing, and the Louisville Mega Cavern, and absolutely amazing guided tour through some of the most beautiful caves in the country.

Lexington

Lexington is the ideal destination for aficionados of horse racing culture, craft beers, and the rich history that this state has to offer. It's a short bus ride away to visit the historic Keeneland race track or the Town Branch distillery, and you don't want to leave town without seeing the Mary Todd Lincoln house, where visitors can stand in the same room that once housed Lincoln and his wife, Mary Todd.

Bowling Green

When you explore Bowling Green by bus, you'll quickly learn that it's well known for its rich part in American history, a diverse culture, and its many contributions to the world of music (the Everly Brothers even wrote a song about the city in 1967, appropriately titled Bowling Green).

We also suggest visiting the National Corvette Museum or cooling off at Russell Sims Aquatic Center - which is perhaps the best water park in the entire state.

Owensboro

Music lovers will be delighted at the many events and historical depth found only in Owensboro. Your bus can drop you and all of your traveling companions off right at the front door of the International Bluegrass Music Museum, which you can explore on your own or with complete narration from an experienced guide - but if you opt for the latter, be sure to set aside about an hour and a half. There's a lot to see!

Additionally, Owensboro is also known for its many beautiful state parks - we recommend having a stroll through Smothers Park or Yellow Creek Park.

Historical Attractions and Landmarks

This state is one of the most historically rich states in the country. We've already recommended that you visit Mary Todd Lincoln's house in Lexington, but you'd be well advised to pile everyone into the bus and see a few other notable attractions. For example, you can visit the house built by T.B. Ripy, the famous bourbon baron from the 1800s, or, if you have an interest in fine wines, you could visit the Château du Vieux Corbeau Winery in Danville.

Annual Events

If you and your bus mates are looking for a true taste of the culture in the Bluegrass State, there's plenty of events to see - for example, the hilarious Hillbilly Days event in Pikeville is an experience you must have at least once: it's a charitable event to raise money for disabled children. Participants all dress up as hillbillies and put on a parade.

Other notable events include the show put on by the American Quilter's Society in Paducah, the absolutely delicious International BBQ Festival in Owensboro, and the Blues and Barbecue Festival in Louisville.

Sporting Events

This state is of course most well known for the globally-recognized Kentucky Derby, a horse racing event that's been going since the late 1800s. The sport is still just as exciting today as it was during its inception - arrive in style in a comfortable modern bus.

There's more here than just horse racing though. Football fans can catch a Wildcats game, and this being the home of the Louisville Slugger, of course there's plenty of baseball. Catch a game by the Louisville Bats, one of the most entertaining minor league teams. This state even has hockey believe it or not, so if you're a fan of the ice, go see a game hosted by the Bluegrass Hockey League.
