Why Rent a Bus in Cincinnati?
When you travel in Cincinnati, you have a few transportation options to choose from (other than driving your own car):
- Metro: The Metro transit bus service operates throughout southwest Ohio, servicing Cincinnati and its Ohio suburbs (the bus does not cross the state line into Kentucky). About 50 bus routes can take you throughout downtown Cincinnati and into suburbs like Madeira and Wyoming, plus to an impressive number of other suburbs and neighborhoods of the city. Rides start at $1.75 per trip within the city of Cincinnati, but fares vary depending on where you’re going. The bus can be a great way to hop around downtown or ride into a suburb, but if you’re coordinating a trip with multiple stops and a large group, it can be difficult to keep up with everyone, and the bus routes might not cater to your schedule’s stops.
- Cincinnati Bell Connector: This 3.6-mile streetcar line services 18 stops along parts of Second Street and Henry Street, providing easy access to destinations like Government Square, Aronoff Center, Findlay Market, and The Banks. And, as a bonus, it’s free to ride! The streetcar can be great for a quick trip to one of its 18 stops, but its limited reach makes it difficult to rely on for other trips in Cincinnati.
- Yellow Taxi, Uber, and Lyft: These on-demand car services operate in Cincinnati and can be called at just about a moment’s notice. They can take you anywhere and are a bit more flexible than the bus, but if you’re traveling with a large group, you’ll probably have to split up, as most cars can only hold up to six passengers at a time.
- Cincinnati Charter Bus Rental: If you’re traveling with a large group, sticking to a strict schedule, or hoping to build a custom itinerary for your Cincinnati trip, a bus rental from Shofur might be your best group transportation option! You can choose where you want to go and travel on your own time while a professional driver takes the wheel. Plus, you’ll have comfortable onboard amenities like climate controls and reclining seats to make your ride extra comfortable, whether you’re coming in from Cleveland or Columbus or traveling all the way from Philadelphia or Atlanta. Experience Oktoberfest Zinzinnati
Each year, Cincinnati hosts Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the United States and the second-largest celebration in the world—rivaled only by the original Oktoberfest in Munich! The party takes place over a weekend in late September and draws nearly 500,000 visitors each year. Participants can dance, drink German beers, and munch on brats, sauerkraut balls, and more. In 1994, the festival even set a world record for “World’s Largest Chicken Dance.” And if all of that wasn’t reason enough to go, the festival also hosts an adorable “Running of the Weiners” each year, during which a team of dachshunds dressed up in hot dog costumes race to be crowned the winner.
If you need a ride into Cincinnati for Oktoberfest, count on Shofur to bring your group safely into Cincinnati and up to the festivities. We’ll also make sure you make it back to your home or hotel safely when it’s time to wind down and gear up for the next day! Leave the transportation to us so you can focus on partying through a weekend you’ll never forget.
