  • Shofur Bus Tickets To New York City

The endless list of what to see and do in New York City goes on for days. Getting to and from New York from another city can be a challenge. Having your own car in the city can at times feel like more of a hassle than an asset.  Instead of finding your own means of transportation, consider reserving a bus ticket with Shofur. We offer the most convenient way of travel for people who travel frequently or just want to explore a different part of the country. At Shofur we promise to always put our best foot forward, so you always have a safe and comfortable trip.

Hone down a list of your must-see places, first, and plan from there. Visiting great art museums takes weeks, so which ones are best for you? The Metropolitan Museum of Art is known world-wide for its artistic treasures, much like the Louvre, the Prado and the Vatican museums. The MOMA and the Guggenheim are probably the other two most well-known art museums in the city. There are many other smaller museums worth seeing as well.

The Statue of Liberty may be the most iconic landmark in NYC. Many of our ancestors sailed by it on the way here. Ellis Island, their point of debarkation, is also a big favorite. Some ferry tours do both sites, so go online and see the possibilities. Most, if not all, ferries leave from Battery Park at the southern end of Manhattan Island.

Times Square is another highly frequented place by all visitors. You can walk around, get something to eat or just watch people here under the giant neon sign that most of us associate with Times Square. It's in so many TV shows and movies, you've seen it without being there.

Central Park is a fact of life here, and you may end up being in it without even trying. During the day, everybody and their third cousin are out here walking pets, just walking, eating and watching entertainers. Avoid it at night unless you're in a well-lit, populated part of it near the 5th Avenue.

The Empire State Building is still a great place to see the view. It costs $32, but travelers can get 4-in-1 passes for $99 that include it and three other major attractions. Top of the Rock, at Rockefeller Center, is $30, also with a deal for three other major attractions for a lower price. In general, online sites have no-waiting tickets for some attractions which make life much easier.

The National 911 Memorial Museum is down near the Battery, and well worth a visit. The outdoor fountains are beautiful and have the names of those who died etched into the fountain walls. The One World Observatory is in the new World Trade Center and has a view like no other tall building. There are fees for entry to all but the outdoor parts.

A ride on a Circle Line Ferry around Manhattan is a nice, restful way to see it from the water, and there is no walking. This is great for all ages in nice weather. Walking off all of the calories from eating in NYC is not a bad thing, though. There are delicious desserts everywhere you look, and mostly well-made. The competition in this large city keeps prices bearable and food exceptionally tasty.

Speaking of eating, Little Italy and Chinatown are beside each other around Mott and Hester Streets. Go north for Little Italy and south for Chinatown. Ferrara's Bakery and Cafe is a 150-year-old dessert place to talk about for decades, near Grand and Mulberry Streets. There are a lot of restaurants with outdoor seating in Little Italy as well. Don't miss out on the many Indian restaurants around the city, either. You can walk it all off.

Broadway shows are major lures to New York City, of course, and there are many to choose from. It's better to plan ahead and order online, but there is a TKTS kiosk on Times Square for getting whatever is available. These prices are at a discount, but there may only be one seat in one row and another seven rows up, or something to that effect. Just decide how badly you want to see a show before getting in line. You never know, it may work out perfectly.

Grand Central Terminal is a beautiful, iconic symbol of NYC. You can take a nine dollar self-guided audio tour or just walk around, gawking. The Apple store is still in there, so shop for a laptop while you're strolling. The famous Oyster Bar and Restaurant is on the lower level if you get hungry again, and why not? It closes at 9:30 pm and is closed on Sunday. It has seasonal specials and is not inexpensive by any means.

The hustle and bustle of New York City is such a thrill. Plan your next trip and allow Shofur to take you there. Our friendly representatives, online booking system and our mobile app are available 24/7 for your convenience.. Look at the skyline from high up or on the water. Eat a lot.
